We are proud to announce our new Spider firmware v3.0.1. has been released. This release of the Spider RFID reader is a major feature release. It breaks the existing license management replaced by a (partial) soft-based license system. Please note that the basic of all Spider RFID readers is the Spider Core and therefore this release covers all types of Spider RFID readers..

Release notes of the Firmware v3.0.0:

• Technical change in HID license management to be more aligned with market demands.
• Separated iCLASS and Seos support settings to independent settings back again (broken since 2.12).
• Bootloader: Application FW version check implemented; no application FW version below bootloader FW version allowed anymore.
• Bootloader: Support of Legic FW 2.2 and upwards (restraints were BLE related, validated until LEGIC FW version 4.0.0.0)** .
• Bootloader: Flashing routines to have more stable FW updates**.
• Bootloader: BLE connections with management tools/applications

Release notes of the Firmware v3.0.1:

• Exclude some non-unique UID's from output; related to a certain tag type. Ignore Other ISO14443A=0x04030201 and Other ISO14443B=0.x00000000. These UID’s are typical for NFC android phones.
• Avoid false positives with some DESFire EV2 cards.
• Improved Google Wallet support for HID Mobile Access.
